Maison Folie Moulins

Maison Folie Moulins is a cultural centre housed in a former brewery. This space has been repurposed into a dynamic venue that hosts a wide array of cultural and artistic events.

The building dates back to the 19th century when it operated as the Corman Vandame brewery, later renamed to the Trois Moulins brewery. The brewery closed in 1934 and the building was eventually renovated and reopened in 2004 as a cultural centre.

Visiting Maison Folie Moulins

Maison Folie Moulins is located in the Moulins district, around a 25-minute walk south from the Grand Place. There aren’t a lot of other points of interest nearby, although it’s less than a five-minute walk to Parc Jean-Baptiste Lebas and it’s around a 10-minute walk to Gare Saint Sauveur.

Unlike a conventional art museum, it doesn’t have a permanent art exhibit, opening to the public only for scheduled exhibitions, festivals and other cultural events. However, the centre’s La Bulle Café is open on most days, providing a welcoming space with a youthful hipster atmosphere where visitors can relax and enjoy a meal or a coffee.
