Visiting Charles de Gaulle’s birthplace

Charles de Gaulle’s birthplace is on rue Princesse at the northern end of Vieux Lille. From here it is around a 20-minute walk to the centre of Lille and a 10-minute walk to the centre of Vieux Lille.

It is open daily, except on Tuesdays. Admission costs €6, although entry is free of charge with the Lille City Pass or if you’re younger than 26.

Guided tours take place on weekends during school holidays. Guided tours are included in your entry fee if you paid to visit and cost €2 if you qualified for free admission.
